Meet our Speakers

Tim Dierckxsens, CEO and Co-founder of Venly
Tim has been researching about blockchain since 2014 and been building blockchain-based solutions since 2016 and like many others in the space, he struggled with the product/market fit of implementing blockchain into products and services until he realised that we’ve been looking at this the wrong way. When dealing with blockchain technology, there are a lot of challenges that enterprises need to overcome before they can actually benefit from using the technology. Understanding why blockchain can be beneficial and then learing how to integrate blockchain in a user-friendly way is/was nearly impossible. The truth is, the blockchain part is of the business is not what matters most & customers don’t need to be taught how to use blockchain. It’s because the ‘blockchain’ part of the business isn’t the actual business… It’s only the backend. With Venly, Tim helps enterprises to build with blockchain without changing how they work today.

Cosimo Bassi, Solutions Architect at Algorand
As a technical interface of the Business Development team, he supports the development of use-cases in designing the “on-chain” applications’ components, structuring the elements of Algorand blockchain protocol. Cosimo holds a MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Politecnico of Torino and is passionate about Algorand’s blockchain application to the energy transition and sustainability.
