Why is investing in Blockchain Games attractive?

The gaming industry, estimated at $120B, is in the midst of a “perfect storm” for innovation and growth. With the integration of blockchain technology in games, both creators and users can now be rewarded for their loyalty in the game.

User generated content, interoperability and Play2Earn games are creating new economy models for the life cycle of gaming products and assets.

If we look at the value of in-game assets, now independent from their original environment, we can see how blockchain games are triggering an exponential economic growth in the non-fungible and semi-fungible ecosystem.

So, what prevents investors from injecting more capitals into blockchain games?

Most blockchain games have initially been supported by a small circle of investors, likely to be friends and family at the very beginning. As pioneer investors had huge success with a small investment and now enjoy a good reputation in the games as some of the original content creators and owners, the news soon reached the attention of VCs and Angel Investors who are getting more and more interested in entering the gaming industry.

During this panel we will be asking our speakers if blockchain technology played a role in the reason why they invested and believed in the potential growth of independent Blockchain games.

As women entrepreneurs, we will also be discussing what takes for VCs and Angel Investors today to become investment ready in order to bridge the gender gap in blockchain games and in the wider tech industry.
